The Fire Division, one of the four major divisions of the Department of Public Safety, provides essential emergency services to the community including Emergency Medical Services (EMS), fire suppression, search and rescue, hazardous materials response, and wildland firefighting with mutual aid support from the CNMI Commonwealth Ports Authority.

The Fire Division consists of seven major sections: 
   1.  Emergency Services
   2.  Fire Prevention and Arson Investigation
   3.  Search and Rescue Unit
   4.  Hazardous Materials Unit
   5.  Forestry
   6.  EMS
   7.  Administration

The Fire Division Administration maintains vital services in the daily administrative functions of the Division, from personnel, payroll, and reports to other matters as required by the Director of Fire. They are also responsible for submitting the Division’s proposed budget for the fiscal year appropriations to maintain and sustain the various operations of the Division.
